Why, despite news of dismal working conditions, do we still covet Apple products? So that’s what we in the developed world do best: turn a blind eye to all that’s happening out there, and continue being unaffected. I’m guilty of coveting sleek gadgets as well. Damn. I won’t deny that Steve Jobs did create magic with his groundbreaking products, but can’t something be done about all the atrocities that go on, unbeknownst to the developed world, in the developing countries? Making a difference in the world begins with one person, but it requires joint strength.
